Stonebridge, Bowes


Stonebridge (aka Stone Bridge) is located by the A66 road, about ¾mile east of Bowes. In the 1870s the house here was the Highland Bullock Inn, as shown on the 1st Edition OS Maps.[1] By the 1910s it was a farmhouse, but is now private dwellings. The former farmhouse here dates from c.1840 with mid-20th century alterations. It has 2 storeys, 4 irregular bays. The building is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
