Sebastopol Cannon


The Sebastopol Cannon is located on the Headland at Hartlepool, near the Heugh Battery and Heugh Lighthouse. The cannon was captured from the Russian army at the Siege of Sebastopol, 1854-56, during the Crimean War. It was presented to Hartlepool Borough Council by Lord Panmure in 1857. The cannon is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
