The photograph is looking up Hanover Street from the Close. The buildings on the left-hand side of the street have been demolished with the back walls remaining. The back walls are not complete as some of them have been partly demolished at the top. Bricked up windows can be seen in the walls. Work is being carried out on the road in front of the buildings.
