    Type : Reprographic copy Description : A postcard of the medieval Tyne Bridge Newcastle upon Tyne in 1771. The engraving shows the Tyne Bridge from the Gateshead side. Houses and shops are built on either side of the bridge.The first medieval Tyne Bridge was built in the late 12th century.
