Wall Mile 36

  • Description

The plantation on Housesteads Crags contains the only section of the Wall where visitors are actually permitted to walk on top of the Claytonised curtain wall. The path to the south of it offers a safer route for those intimidated by heights. Looking NE Handbook p.250
