Rampside

  • Description

Photo, early 20th century. Looking northeast along the shore at Rampside, the last remaining 1875 leading light stands upon the shore as darker clouds roll in from the south. Two children and a man walk barefoot in the shallows along the sandy beach while a third explores the rock pools. A strip of shingle backs the beach leading up to the road, on the opposite side of which is a row of terraced villas while on the beach side where the road starts to turn inland, two or more detached homes stand.
