    "...formerly listed as North House...House, now university hall of residence. Mid C18 with Cl9 alterations and extensions. Ashlar with plinth; graduated Lakeland slate roof. 2 storeys, 2:5:2 bays, the central 5 higher. Central broken-pedimented Tuscan doorcase containing renewed door; sash windows, with glazing bars except for some in left wing. Central block has sill and floor bands; wings set back slightly. One-storey, 3-bay wing at left: similar sash windows, hipped roof...."
