Rennington

Rennington is a village in Northumberland, located about 4 miles north-east of Alnwick and 3 miles south-west of Embleton. The village includes the Horseshoe Inn, the Village Hall (former school) and All Saints Church. Rennington Scarecrow Festival takes place every year over the August Bank Holiday weekend and helps raise funds for the village hall and church. There has been a village here since medieval times; historically, Rennington was a chapelry in the ancient parish of Embleton. Today, the village, along with the nearby settlements of Rock, Stamford and Broxfield, form Rennington Civil Parish.
