Orthwaite


Orthwaite is a hamlet in Allerdale district of Cumbria, located about 2 miles north-west of Bassenthwaite and 2 miles south of the village of Uldale. The settlement includes two farms, a few cottages and Orthwaite Hall, which dates from the 17th century. Orthwaite forms part of Ireby and Uldale Civil Parish.

Co-Curate is a project which brings together online collections, museums, universities, schools and community groups to make and re-make stories and images from North East England and Cumbria.
