Old School, Muncaster

The Old School is located by the A595 road at Muncaster. The school was built in 1876, replacing an earlier school room of 1706, and earlier an endowed school had been established by Richard Brockbank in 1696[1]. The school closed in the 1980s. The school building later served as a hotel, and is now available as self catering accommodation. Close by, the old school house (presumably school masters house) appears to be a seperate private residence.
