Old Grammar School (now the School Library)
The Old Grammar School is located by the junction of Back Lane and Loftus Hill, in Sedburgh. The building is dated 1716 on the original doorway, in the west front. The building was altered in the 19th century, and internally remodelled in 1957-8, by Sir Albert Richardson.[1] The east gable end, on Loftus Hill, retains its ex situ 17th century doorway and door. The building is now the Library for Sedbergh School. The building is Grade II* listed on the National Heritage List for England.
