Nos. 10-22, West Walls, Carlisle


Nos. 10-22, West Walls (road) in Carlisle are 19th century buildings, notable for including a section of the 12th century West City Walls. The buildings are Grade I listed on the National Heritage List for England in order to legally protect the city wall behind them. One of the buildings is now occupied by the 142 seat West Walls Theatre / Green Room Club (established 1951) was originally built between 1895 and 1896 as a coach house and stables for Mr R Crosbie, plans having been approved by the City Health committee on 16th August 1895.[1]
