No. 11, Fisher Street, Carlisle


No. 11, Fisher Street, Carlisle, was built in c.1800. It was originally built as a house for Robert Ferguson, son of a prosperous textile manufacturer. It has Flemish bond brickwork. The building became a club in 1928; the CIU Carlisle Working Men's Club. The Fisher Street Collective (artists) were hosted in the club. In 2018, the buiding was under refurbishment for conversion into residential apartments. No. 11, Fisher Street is a Grade II listed building on the National Heritage List for England.
