No. 1, South Bailey, Durham
Linton House is located at No. 1, South Bailey in Durham. The large house dates from the 17th Century. It is said that the frontage seen today was added to an much earlier timber-framed building. The building is now part of St. John's College of Durham University. Prior to being part of St John's College, it had been the main property of St. Chad's College. Linton House is a Grade II listed building on the National Heritage List for England.
