Newstead, Northumberland
Newstead is a hamlet in Northumberland, located about 1½ miles south-west of the village of Newham and 4½ miles south-east of Belford. Newstead is thought to be a shrunken settlement and possible location of the medieval village of Osberwick.[1] Newstead was a township n the ancient parish of Bambrough. It now forms part of the Civil Parish of Adderstone with Lucker.
