Medieval Wayside Cross, Bowes


The substantial remains of a Medieval wayside cross are located in the front garden of Cross House, on the north side of The Street in Bowes. The base and 0.6-metre tall stump of the cross shaft are Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England. Another wayside cross (Rey Cross) is located about 5 miles west of Bowes.
