Low Haygarth
Low Haygarth is a farm located off Cautley Road, in Cautley, about 4 miles north-east of Sedbergh in Cumbria. It is situated at the foot of the Howgills (hills), by tight meanders in the River Rawthey. Cautley Holme Beck joins the River Rawthey here. Low Haygarth Farm breeds Welsh Cob, Irish Draught and Sport horses. The farmhouse at Low Haygarth is dated 1728, and is a Grade II listed building on the National Heritage List for England. A barn at the south of the farmhouse dates from the early 18th century, and is also a Grade II listed building. The Cross Keys Temperance Inn is close by - this was previously High Hargarth farmhouse.
