Hindleyhill, Allendale


Hindleyhill (aka Hindley Hill). By the River East Allen, near where Hindley Burn joins the river, by Hindleyhill Woods. Whellan's 1855 dierectory lists William Bell as farmer at Hindley Hill under the greiveship of Keenley, in the ancient parish of Allendale. Today, Hindleyhill is part of Allendale Civil Parish.
