Highfield


Highfield is a village in the Metropolitan Borough of Gateshead, located between Rowlands Gill and High Spen. Highfield joins onto to the western part of Rowlands Gill although historically was focussed around an older mining settlement south of Smailes Lane.[1] The village is situated in the northern part of Derwent Valley and is surrounded by open countryside and woodland
