Harehaugh
Harehaugh is a farm in Northumberland, located just over 1km south-west of Hepple. It is situated by the south banks of the River Coquet and to the west of Grasslees Burn. Historically, Harehaugh was part of the township of Dueshill in the ancient parish of Holystone. Whellan's directory of Northumberland for 1855 records John Weatherson as the farmer here at Harehaugh.[1] Today, Harehaugh is part of Harbottle Civil Parish. The old farmhouse here dates from the 17th century and it's remains are a listed building on the National Heritage List for England. To the west, on Harehaugh Hill, is the site of an Iron age hillfort.
