Greystead Foot Bridge


Greystead Foot Bridge over the River North Tyne. This suspension bridge was built c.1862 to connect Greystead and the south bank of the river to the Border Counties Railway and the nearby Thorneyburn Station, which opened that year. The bridge is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
