Garsdale Railway Station


Garsdale is a railway station on the Settle and Carlisle Line, located on Coal Road, near Garsdale Head, in Cumbria. Originally named Hawes Junction, the station was opened by the Midland Railway Comany on the 1st of August, 1876. The signal box here dates from 1910. There is a statue of Ruswarp, by the southbound platform. There was a major restoration of the station buildings in 2009. Dandrymire Viaduct is located a short distance north-east of the station.
