Former Church of St Peter

The former St Peter's Church is located on Princes Street in Bishop Auckland. The Parish church with parish hall was built 1873-1875 by R.J. Johnson. The building is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England. The church permanently closed in 2013 and is was marketed as a development opportunity, including potential conversion into a house or apartments. A community group, The Bluebell Project, is aiming to rennovate the building.
