Delaval Arms
The Delaval Arms is a public house in Old Hartley, located off the main road between Whitley Bay and Seaton Sluice. It was originally built as a inn/hotel during the mid 18th century and situated next to the Manor House of Hartley (later demolished). The rear wing to the Delaval Arms was added in the mid 19th century. It is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England. The pub boasts being the "First and Last" in Northumberland, being by the border with North Tyneside. Just outside the pub is the Hartley Blue Stone.
