Crozier Lodge, Cumberland Infirmary
Crozier Lodge at Cumberland Infirmary, in Carlisle, was originally a house built in the 1820s. Thomas McAdam was recorded as living here in 1828.[1] A House of Recovery (fever hospital) which had been established in 1820 near Collier's Lane moved to Crozier Lodge in 1847. Crozier Lodge remained at fever hospital until at least 1910.[2] The building was then used as a doctors' residence for the Infirmary. Crozier Lodge is a Grade II listed building on the National Heritage List for England.
