Crawhall Road
Crawhall Road is a road in the Byker / Ouseburn area, just east of Newcastle City Centre. It runs from New Bridge Street, south, down to City Road and forms part of the B1600 route. There is an entrance to the Victoria Tunnel on Crawhall Road, the 19th century tunnel was used as a air raid shelter during the Second World War. The course of Hadrian's Wall cuts across the road and Turret 3b of the Wall was located beneath the site of the former Norris House on this road in 2021.
