Coxhoe Primary School
Coxhoe Primary School is located on Cornforth Lane in Coxhoe. It is a community school with about 320 puplis aged 4 to 11.[1] Coxhoe National School opened in 1871, and at this time there were two other schools in the village; Coxhoe Temperance Hall British School, and Coxhoe Primitive Methodist School.[2] A School Board of 5 members was formed in 1875; Charles E. Barnes of Sadler street, Durham, was clerk to the board.[3]
