Coronation


Coronation is a small village in County Durham situated between South Church and Eldon Lane, and just under a mile east of Bishop Auckland and a mile north of Shildon. Coronation consists of 3 rows of 2 terraces (Mary/James, David/Mark and Richard/John Terrace). At the time of the 2011 Census, the population of Coronation was 215. Coronation is within the Dean Valley Parish Council, which includes neighbouring former colliery villages; Auckland ParkGurney ValleyClose HouseCoundon GrangeOld EldonEldon Lane and Bridge Place[1]
