Church of St Michael, Dalston

The Church of St Michael and all Angels is located at the north end of The Square in Dalston, Cumbria. The red sandstone church was originally built in the 12th century. It was partly rebuilt in 1749, but retains some medieval elements. The entrance porch, vestry and organ chamber date from 1890, when the church was extensively restored by C.J. Ferguson. The church is also notable for its 19th century double open bell-cote. The church is Grade II* listed on the National Heritage List for England.
