The arch was designed by Mr Yonglai Zhang and built by craftsmen from the Changsu Classical Garden Construction Company (Group) Ltd from Changsu, of the Jiangsu Province of China.[1] The arch is in close proximity to the section of the Town Wall behind Stowell Street, and can be seen from Gallowgate and St James' Park football stadium.
