Capella Extra Portas
Capella Extra Portas is a ruined chapel, built in c.1300, which is located on Abbey Approach - the entrance to Furness Abbey in Barrow-in-Furness. The chapel used by dependents of the monastery and others who did not normally worship in the abbey istelf. Capella Extra Portas is Grade I listed on the National Heritage List for England. The attached Gateway is seperately Grade I listed.
