Beechburn Beck / Crook Beck


Beechburn Beck is a tributary of the River Wear in County Durham. It's upper course is known as Crook Beck, where it flows through the town of Crook. It flows south through Howden-le-Wear and on through Beechburn Wood (south-west of North Bitchburn) and past Beechburn (farm), before joining the River Wear north of Witton Park. The beck has a catchment area of 22km2 and is 4.8 km long.[1]
