Allan House, City Road


Allan House (now Hotel du Vin & Bistro) is located on City Road, by the junction with Ouse Street, in Newcastle. It was orininally built as offices for the Tyne-Tees Steam Shipping Company in 1908. It was converted to a hotel in 2007-8. The building is on the Local List of buildings of Local Architectural or Historic Interest ('Local List') for Newcastle. The side of the building on Ouse Street is adjacent to the south entrance to the Victoria Tunnel.
