No. 12 Mosley Street, Newcastle, was built in 1891 by A. Waterhouse for the Prudential Assurance Company. Situated on the corner of Mosley Street and Dean Street, the Free Early-Renaissance-style building has a basement and 4 storeys with 5 bays. It has a red granite basement with wrought iron grilles; red brick and red sandstone upper floors, with a Lakeland slate roof. Also known as Churchill House, the building is currently Portofino restaurant and pizzeria (2022). No 12 Mosley Street is a Grade II listed building on the National Heritage List for England.
