Wood End, Low Biggins
Wood End (aka Woodend) is located at the eastern end of Biggins Lane in Low Biggins, near Kirkby Lonsdale. The farmhouse here dates from the 18th century, with later alterations. The farmhouse is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England. There has been substantial building developments at Wood End. In 2021 a planning application was submitted by Bowers and Norman Ltd, for renovations, alteration, and extension to the existing farmhouse and change of use of the land to create new housing. In 2022-24, NSN Developments North West Ltd. renovated and modernised the farmhouse and the large barn was converted into a dwelling. In addition 7 new build houses of various sizes were built here.
