Winlaton Mill
Winlaton Mill is a village located by the River Derwent, located about half a mile south east of Winlation in the Metropolitan Borough of Gateshead. The old Winlaton Mill village had housing built to accommodate worker's at Crowley's Ironworks. The old village was demolished in 1937 and rebuilt on its present site. The reamins of the miller's house in the old village can still be seen.[1] Winlaton Mill's former fish and chip shop is now a feature at Beamish Museum.
