Thornton Street, Newcastle

Thornton Street is a road in Newcastle. A short section at the north end of the street is pedestrianised, where it joins Westgate Road. The south end of the street runs on to Waterloo Street. Buildings on the west side of the street include Tilley's Bar and the Stage Door of the Tyne Theatre, which adjoins a mid-19th century terrace of houses and shops (Nos 56-63), which are listed buildings. The west side of the street includes some more modern buildings: Premier Suites (hotel) and a help centre of the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (UCKG).
