The Highlander, nr Belsay


The Highlander is a public house located on the A696 road, about 2 miles south-east of Belsay. The Highlander closed in 2018, but has since been purchased and is said to be reopening as a pub in 2023.[1] The present building dates from the early 19th century and was formerly a coaching inn. The Highlander is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
