The Avenue, Whitley Bay (demolished)

The Avenue was a large pub located close to Spanish City, on the end of Park Avenue and Brook Gardens in Whitley Bay. The pub went out of business and the building was disused for many years and became a local eyesore. In 2014 the derelict building was purchased by North Tyneside Council as part of the seafront regeneration programme. It was demolished in 2015.
