Tearnside


Tearnside is a hamlet to the north-west of Kirkby Lonsdale in Cumbria. Tearnside was recorded in the mid-13th century, but was demolished in the 17th century. Tearnside Hall was built in 1686 by John and Ann Baylife. The hamlet was on the road to Kendal until being bypassed by the A65 in 1953. Tearnside is within the Kirkby Lonsdale Town Council area.
