St James' Heritage and Environment Group


St James’ Heritage and Environment Group is an independent voluntary organisation in Benwell, Newcastle. It was set up in 2010 to support the restoration and improvement of St James’ Church building and churchyard. The group have produced a range of heritage publications about the wider area of Benwell.

Co-Curate is a project which brings together online collections, museums, universities, schools and community groups to make and re-make stories and images from North East England and Cumbria.
