Slingley Hill, County Durham

Slingley, anciently called Slinglaw, lies to the south-west of Seaton in County Durham. There is a farm at Slingley Hill. It forms part of Seaton with Slingley Civil Parish. A number of Roman artifactshave been found close to Slingley Hill Farm, suggesting that it may possibly have been the site of a Roman settlement or temple.
