Site of Bells Chapel

The site of Bells Chapel (also known as Bell's Kirk) is located by Bells Burn, close to the England Scotland border, a short distance south-west of Bellsburnfoot, roughly 1 mile north-west of the village of Kielder. There was a settlement and chapel here in Medieval times, documented in 1590, for which there are some earthwork remains.[1] A hollowed out natural boulder, thought to have been a font, is all that remains of the chapel.
