Shop Bridge and Boundary Stone, Broughton Mills


Shop Bridge is a stone road bridge over the River Lickle at Broughton Mills. The segmental arched bridge dates from the 18th century, with later widening. The bridge straddles the civil parishes of Broughton West and Dunnerdale with Seathwaite. There is an old boundary strone by the bridge is inscribed: "BROUGHTON / DUNNERDALE". Shop Bridge and the boundary stone are Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
