Sherburnhouse Beck

Sherburnhouse Beck is a tributary of Old Durham Beck which itself is a tributary of the River Wear. Sherburnhouse Beck flows past the hamlet of Sherburn House in County Durham. The name Sherburn is thought to derive from the Anglo-Saxon words Scir and Burna, meaning clear stream.
