Brougham Castle Bridge

Description
"Built in 1812, across the River Eamont, former boundary between westmorland and Cumberland. It is of Red sandstone and has three segmental arches and one small arch for the mill race. The bridge is grade II-listed (Historic England List Entry Number: 1145132 http://www.heritagegateway.org.uk/Gateway/Results_Single.aspx?uid=1145132&resourceID=5 Heritage Gateway). The bridge is currently closed to foot and vehicular traffic having sustained severe damage during the 2015 Cumbria floods." Photo by David Dixon, 2016. -
