Not this way please!

  • Description

"The Lakeside Way was an ambitious project (2006-2009) to provide a multi-user track all the way round Kielder Water (42 Km in all). Initially the Way ran up to the road bridge over the North Tyne. More recently new path construction has connected in the old Railway Viaduct downstream of the road bridge, thereby slightly shortening the length of the trail. This pre-existing steep path linked the Viaduct down to the river bank and was highly unsuitable for cyclists. A new path [[2812225]] provides a much easier route." Photo by Oliver Dixon, 2012.
