Panel on the Kielder Viaduct
-
Description
"Kielder Viaduct built in 1862 has been adopted by Kielder village as their local symbol, and under a Local Heritage Initiative have installed a number of decorative panels to replace the rotting railings. http://www.lhi.org.uk/projects_directory/projects_by_region/north_east/northumberland/kielder_village_and_north_tyne_railway/index.html. This panel commemorates the history of the railway with the initials of the four railway companies who over the years owned the line - Border Counties Railway, North British Railway, London and North East Railway, British Rail."
