Glanton

  • Description

"The station is largely intact although much of the trackbed has been infilled up to platform level.. The main station building is now a private residence although the north end of the platform. does not appear to be part of the property and is overgrown. The main station building is incorporated into the stationmaster's house.......The weighcabin and associated weighbridge were removed from the station and reconstructed to form the entrance to the good yard at the specimen NER station at the North of England Open Air Museum, Beamish, Co Durham....."
