Bridge over the River Coquet near Chew Green

  • Description

"The road enters Otterburn Ranges at the bridge but it is possible to drive through if the red flags aren't flying. The barrier is lowered when live firing exercises are in progress. Chew Green Roman Camps are over the small hill on the right. The road beyond the bridge is on the line of Gamel's Path, drove road itself on the line of the Roman road, Dere Street" Photo by Andrew Curtis, 2010.
